Christian
Companions
This group of fourteen Pastoral Care Visitors meets monthly with
a speaker every other month. Six visitors are certified Level 1
Pastoral Visitors.
They use the
knowledge gained as they continue to visit in area Retirement Homes
and Nursing Homes.
Co-ordination
with other Anglican churches in the community is being established
to improve the level of Pastoral Care available.
They also work
as advocates to implement visiting in Nursing Homes where there
is no Chaplain present or visiting.
Twelve visitors
were commissioned early in 2004 and this group continues to flourish.
