Music at St. George’s
Music has been a part of Christian worship since the earliest days
of the Church. At St. George’s, we believe it is still an
essential element of our liturgy at our weekly 9:30 and 11:00 a.m.
services, and also on special occasions. According to the Canons
(or Laws) of the Church, the Incumbent is responsible for music
at worship, but at St. George’s (as at many other churches)
this responsibility has been delegated to church music professionals.

GEORGE’S CHOIR
St. George’s
Choir continues to play an important role in leading the congregation
at 11:00 a.m. services. The choir currently has approximately 30
members and meets for practices on Thursday evenings. New members

GEORGE’S MUSIC TEAM
St. George’s Music Team leads the music at the 9:30 Contemporary
service each week. The Music Team practises once or twice a month
on Tuesday evenings. Parishioners who play musical instruments are
most welcome to bring their instruments and take part in the practices
and services. If you are interested in joining the Choir or participating
by playing a musical instrument, please contact the church office
at 905-723-7875. The music is supplemented by guitars, drums and
keyboard.
