Terrence
P. Proulx - Rector's Deputy Warden
Terry Proulx
was appointed deputy Rector's warden at the annual vestry of the
parish on Sunday 3rd February 2008"; from a 19-year career
in both the industrial & commercial client service business
as it relates to information technology application and national
facility operations deployment. In one of his previous roles, he
developed a 13-year career with a Fortune 100 facility services
company, where he held the position of Client Services Manager for
the Eastern Canada Area, leading its Operations and Maintenance
service portfolio. Prior to his latest achievements, he was equally
successful as an Engineering Manager for a consulting firm, Production
Designer in manufacturing, Service Operations Manager in facilities,
Branch Manager in controls & automation, Installation Project
Manager and Application Engineer/Systems Designer. He also acted
as President for a co-owned venture that operated in the late 80's
specializing in engineering solutions and IT support for PLC &
mining applications throughout Canada.
Terry graduated
from Cambrian College in engineering as a design draftsman and continued
engineering studies at both Canadian and U.S. institutions as related
to career development and expanding expertise. He has been recognized
in the industry and by global organizations, for his performance
contribution to exceptional customer delivery and business financial
results.
Today; Terry
acts as Vice President & General Manager for a rapidly expanding
Energy Solutions Company, as well as performs the role of Chief
Executive Officer for a new but aggressive venture in facility control
systems integration.
The Proulx family
lives in Oshawa and regularly attends St. George's early morning
services.
Terry's ideal
spiritual ministry as a Deputy Warden involves the ability to impact
a heightened visibility & presence in the community for the
church.
This tall order
would be achieved through adopting & supporting a cohesive strategic
growth plan that identifies objectives executed by the Corporation
for outreach and fellowship programs.
Susan
Wright -
People's Warden
Susan joined
the choir of St. George’s while in high school, and soon became
a member of Parish Council and is now in her first year as a warden.
Living in Orono, she has worked as a bookkeeper in Durham for 8
years.

Durham
- Deputy People’s Warden
Dave Durham was elected
Deputy People’s Warden at the 2008 Vestry. He has been a member
of St. George’s Memorial Church for 12 years and attends Sunday
services regularly, usually at 9:30 am. Dave is always a willing
and hard-working participant in activities around the church, from
yard clean-up in spring and fall to kitchen clean-up after a parish
dinner. He takes his turn as host at the 9:30 am Sunday service
and has served on the Parish Council.
Dave is manager of WR
Chapman Auto Electric Ltd., an auto parts distributor with an outlet
in Cobourg and one in Oshawa on Centre Street, just a block north
of the Church. He has been associated with the auto industry for
44 years and is a well-known member of the business community.
He looks forward to greater
participation in the management of St. George’s and hopes
to become acquainted with more parishioners. Please introduce yourself
when you see Dave in the narthex or at coffee hour in the Parish
Hall.
